Is late actually better than never?

Sometimes you’re late for the perfect reasons: other obligations hedged up the way and you made it happen as soon as you could, you focused on other priorities that had merit and you’re just now getting here, or it took longer than you expected and was worth the time.

And sometimes you’re late after dragging your toes through every sludgy inch of the project—because you never should have done it at all.

Consider the difference.
